Traditional sources of funding continue to change, and environmental protection requirements and construction costs continue to increase. Without question, these dynamics make total project budget a key factor in choosing a consulting firm, and judging a projects success. McFarland Johnson addresses the issue of cost via project cost control. Prior to beginning work, our project managers prepare a Project Cost Summary to be used by the entire team. Budget and progress reports on all project costs to date are provided electronically to our project managers desktops. We monitor our design and the contractors activities to achieve completion of tasks on schedule. McFarland Johnson emphasizes life-cycle costing and value engineering in our project designs. |
