The city is at the northern end of Canandaigua Lake, and is located in the largest wine producing area in New York State. Wineries are located within a short drive
of Canandaigua.

Across the state, you'll find terrific camping, biking, fishing and hiking all yearlong, and skiing in the winter. The Finger Lakes Race Track, the only thoroughbred race track in Central New York State, is also located nearby.

The Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC), formerly known as the Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center (FLPAC) is an outdoor concert venue located just east of the City of Canandaigua, on the grounds of Finger Lakes Community College. The CMAC is the summer home of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
