This project includes the construction of a new 210 foot long pedestrian bridge spanning the Sugar River which will connect the Visitors Center to the North with the Mill District to the south. The project scope includes pathway approaches at both ends of the bridge, lighting, landscaping and environmental permitting. In addition to providing a safe transportation route for pedestrians and bicyclists, the new crossing will provide access from the City's redeveloped millyard to parking on the north side of the river. The project is funded through the NHDOT Transportation Enhancement Program with budget of $1.08 Million.
