Challenge: Satisfy the growing demand for additional assisted-living housing and on-campus assembly and orientation space for the growing, not-for-profit Springbrook Organization in Oneonta.
Solution: This project called for the design of three new buildings at Springbrook's Oneonta campus. The Family Engagement Center is an 11,000 square foot, single-story, mixed-use building that provides an assembly space for large gatherings, administrative space, and overnight accommodations for families considering the Springbrook Organization for their loved ones. Additionally, two 7,300 square foot, single-story residential-style buildings provide housing to the Springbrook community. These were designed with a sensitivity to the residents' specific medical and physical needs, while maintaining durability and energy efficiency.
